"Going through tough times and having someone there to stand by you no matter what happens - I kinda miss that... I really do"
You see, one cannot lower his guard down even in the midst of a closest friend. Change is inevitable. Some time, somehow in the future, that very trusted friend of yours will change and there's nothing you can do about it. Unfortunately, most of the times it won't cross your mind that sooner or later, your friend or even you will no longer be the exact same person you knew before. It may be physical, personality, priority, time and interests. It is very hard to get used to the newer person upgrade 2.0 because we already have a view of he/she is. I was able to almost fully accept that person until he changed, I couln't take it since I already have a pattern for what he is/used to be; which makes me say "No you're not like this before." I wish this upgrade is backward compatible or better yet I want it to be downgraded back to the original version. But we all know it's unlikely to happen.
Spur of the Moment: Buko juice seller (tries to) strike a conversation
"Buko juice Maam!" I was about to turn my head and said No thanks when he hurriedly said "Asa diay ka nag trabaho? Convergys?" :)) Hahaha
What's funny about this situation is this...
The guys who overheard the conversation - well it may not be a conversation since I didn't reply to the buko juice guy but anyways - one of them exclaimed "Good move!" and the other replied "I know."
I didn't hear the rest of their talk since I walked past them na.
Apparently, the buko juice seller always says "Buko juice Maam" everytime I pass by around the corner to IT Park. And each and every time, I shook my head or say 'dili lang'. So today, he came up with a new line. Nice effort Buko juice-san! And No, I'm still not buying your Buko juice.
Sandals Incident
My sandals broke off when I was walking to our office bldg. Just one more block and I could have made it... But nooo, it wanted to rear its ugly strap and mock me; showing everyone on the streets that a girl wearing yellow blouse and slacks was walking awkwardly like she has a nasty case of polio! Oh the humiliation...
Chelsea sandals, I curse your brand. Your products cannot last more than two months and this is proven TWICE already. I will stick to my plain old favorites: Azaleia, Nike, Alberto and Forward and Scoop.
Joy, I await for your sandals disaster. Call me when it happens - I'll gladly lend you a pair of flip-flops. ;)
Side note:
Thank you Men2x for going out of your way to buy me something to wear. I owe ya dude. You saved me from going on barefoot throughout the day. :)
