Sandals Incident

My sandals broke off when I was walking to our office bldg. Just one more block and I could have made it... But nooo, it wanted to rear its ugly strap and mock me; showing everyone on the streets that a girl wearing yellow blouse and slacks was walking awkwardly like she has a nasty case of polio! Oh the humiliation...

Chelsea sandals, I curse your brand. Your products cannot last more than two months and this is proven TWICE already. I will stick to my plain old favorites: Azaleia, Nike, Alberto and Forward and Scoop.

Joy, I await for your sandals disaster. Call me when it happens - I'll gladly lend you a pair of flip-flops. ;)

Side note:
Thank you Men2x for going out of your way to buy me something to wear. I owe ya dude. You saved me from going on barefoot throughout the day. :)

Recent Anime Recommendations

I need some new manga to read or anime to watch.

Our HDs have a couple of anime series lying around - I didn't watch any single one of em.

My sister recommended Code Geass, Bakuman and Skipbeat. I was like.. blech! What ugly titles. And she replied blah! Don't mind those. You'll change your mind when you watch the first episode.

But still I didn't watch/read 'em. They just don't spark an interest in me. -.-

A few weeks ago, I finished watching 2 anime series which are really good in my opinion: Mononoke(12 episodes) and Mushishi (20+ episodes). Both of these anime are weird, mysterious, have individual plots per episode, awesome storylines and were created in unique art.  I'm a sucker for weird and mysterious anime. ♥

Mononoke  (Picture taken from deviant art)
Mononoke was really thought-provoking. It's about this medicine seller who's an exorcist for different types of monster, ayaakashi and the likes. The stories can have double meanings and can be interpretted in a lot of ways; literally or figuratively. My cousins and I watched the anime with keen concentration (squinted eyes), trying to focus on the minute details that could help us figure out the mystery of the story.

This is definitely a must-watch! Oh, and enjoy the unique painting-like scenes of this anime.

Mushishi

It's about a person named Ginko who employs himself as a Mushi master. Read the synopsis on wikipidia here :) Similar to the Mononoke, every episode shrouds itself with mystery. The stories get better on the tenth + episodes.

Mushishi's stories are more mellow, sullen and focused on the nature. You can find that some of the stories are very soothing, although others can be disturbing; In a sense where, Ginko poked his eye out - don't worry, there's no blood involved.

There's a live action on this already. I've gotta download it asap.

Additional Note: Mushishi manga is now in the Philippines and help Yuki Urushibara out by purchasing them - I just found some in National Bookstore last week. :)
